Each parcel of land in Victoria has an associated land title. Any transaction, change or activity related to that title is recorded on the title in the Victoria Register of Land.

With a Property Owner Alert subscription, you can stay informed and in control. Receive updates detailing changes made on a title, delivered straight to your inbox within minutes of any recorded change.

How does the alert work?

LANDATA® will monitor the subscribed title for key activities, from the early stages of a transaction all the way through to registered changes on your title.

Within minutes of any changes being made on the title an alert will be triggered to the email address attached to the subscription.

Subscriptions remain in place until there is any change in ownership for the title, including any change in ownership structure (such as change of joint ownership to sole ownership), or until the title is cancelled.

What types of changes will be included in the alerts?

Alerts will be triggered to the subscribed email address by:

  • updates to encumbrances, caveats, and notices, including transactions such as;
    • ownership transfers,
    • mortgages, or
    • mortgage discharges that require registration on the land title.
  • when a legal professional initiates a transaction on an electronic title as part of a property transaction, such as a;
    • sale,
    • refinance, or
    • modifications to an encumbrance.
