It is a repository for plans and surveys that support land dealings in Victoria. It contains original plans, maps, and aerial photographs.

These documents include:

  • LEGL Plan
  • Record Plan (a legal document that details the boundaries of Crown land within a parish or township)
  • Put-away Plan (an older version of a land survey plan, essentially a historical record of land boundaries that were incorporated into a more current "Record Plan" when new subdivisions or changes were made to the land)
  • National Park Plan (a detailed management plan for a national park within the state)
  • Gazetted Plan (a survey plan that is officially published in the Victoria Government Gazette, used to document and legally define the boundaries of Crown land)
  • Historic Crown Field Books (an original document detailing the survey and details of Crown land in Victoria)
  • Historic Aerial Photography - 1930s to 1990s
